PURPOSE:To facilitate the decipherment of output data and to shorten data collection time by storing numeric data from a terminal equipment, by storing the character code of this data previously, and by reading a corresponding character when the data is outputted. CONSTITUTION:Each terminal equipment receives a data transfer request from a data collector and then transmits numeric data except character data. When the data transfer is normal, the data is stored in a memory 7 by being classified, and this operation regarding every terminal is repeated until the data transfer ends. Then, a character code which corresponds to a classification code in the memory 7 is retrieved in a file read out of an auxiliary storage device 11 and if it is not found, retrieval is done in a next file. The retrieved character code and each corresponding numeric data are transferred to a printing buffer PB to be printed out. This is performed about all totalization data in the memory 7. Thus, the need for character code transfer which takes a long time is eliminated and the discrimination of an output document is facilitated by character print. |
