PURPOSE:To decrease the variance of elements, by applying hydrostatic pressure to formed body after forming a gas sensitive pulverulent body by a metallic mold and after that, carrying out sintering treatment. CONSTITUTION:A small quantity of polyvinyl alcohol is added to mixed pulverulent body composed of 95mol% iron oxide and tin oxide to granulate and pressure forming is carried out in a metallic mold putting in two platinum electrodes. The formed body is then placed on a groove of a rubber sheet having wavy grooves and the whole body is put in a rubber bag after covering it with a thin rubber sheet and then, an opening of the rubber bag is sealed after evacuating by a vacuum pump. This bag is sunk in a liquid in a hydrostatic pressure press apparatus to apply about 500kg/cm<2> pressure. Then, this formed body is sintered at 700 deg.C for one hour in the atmosphere and a detection part of a gas detection element is obtained. |
