Spark arrester for IC engine - has flame proof housings on intake and exhaust with flame guards and cooling fins

The spark arrestor is for an i.c. engine with intake and exhaust manifolds. It has a housing (4) mounted on each manifold, each with exterior cooling fins and stacked flame guards between a base (5) and cover. The base is formed by a connecting cap integral with the mounting manifold and the cover (6) is formed by a connecting pipe. The base and cover are connected together by bolts. The housing is a parallelepiped with four lateral walls connected by flame proof joints (21,22) with the cap and base.
