PURPOSE:To improve surge voltage characteristics and better winding occupancy, by reducing thickness of conductor insulant for the overall winding. CONSTITUTION:A transformer winding is divided from a line terminal U to the other terminal O into three blocksI, II, and III. Each block has a plurality of interleave coils CI, CII, and CIII. The interleave coils CI, CII, CIII are wound by starting at the outermost side. Mutual winding turn is combined to make the same interleave constructions. They differ in their winding turns NI, NII, NIII. The turn numbers NI, NII, NIII of the interleave coils CI, CII, CIII in the blocks I, II, III are adjusted to optimize the distribution of series electro-static capacitance for each coil and to improve the insulating characteristics. Wire conductors 10A, 10B, 10C of the interleave coils in the blocks are the same in their conductor shapes and dimensions but different in the thickness of insulant. |
