PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide resin composition having excellent toughness, excellent heat resistance, and improved resistance to environmental stress cracking caused by metal halides, by adding a specific weight ratio of an aliphatic polyamide to polyhexamethylene/adipamide. CONSTITUTION:20-80pts.wt. polyehexamethylene/adipamide (nylon 66) (A), obtained by the polycondensation reaction between hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, is mixed with 80-20pts.wt. aliphatic polyamide (B) of a CH2/NHCO ratio of 6-11 (for the main chain of the polymer) (e.g., nylon 7, 12, or 610) to obtain an objective polyamide resin composition. Thus, the resistance to environmental stress cracking due to metal halides of the component (A) can be improved without damaging its excellent intrinsic mechanical strength. |
