Mixtures of unsaturated polyester resins and acrylate polymers together with, if desired, minor amounts of other vinyl or vinylidene monomers are employed as binders for "cold plastic systems" for the production of road markings. The systems contain conventional accelerators, inhibitors, stabilisers and plasticisers and fillers in the ratio 1 part of binder to 1-6 parts of filler. In the case of suitable formulation, application can also take place by spraying. Acceleration of the curing by brief exposure to heat is possible. |
