PURPOSE:To obtain a picture information file device which can report the end of the life of a storage medium. CONSTITUTION:When converted picture information from a storage medium is converted reversely to original picture information, the cyclic redundancy check is performed by the cyclic redundancy check code added to every line; and if the number of errors is a prescribed value as the check result, the end of the life of the recording medium is reported. |
