<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the production of a ring life buoy and enhance the appearance thereof by a method wherein a buoyancy member covered with a covering cloth capable of being halved along a fastener is divided into a wedge- shaped buoyancy member and a suitable number of split buoyancy members. CONSTITUTION:The annular covering cloth 1 is sewn from a suitably colored fabric, with its outside peripheral wall 2 formed in a square shape having four corners rounded off and with the inside peripheral wall 3 formed in a circular shape. The inside peripheral wall 3 can be halved at a slide fastener 6. The annular buoyancy member 7 is enlcosed in the covering cloth 1. The buoyancy member 7 is divided into the wedge-shaped buoyancy member 7a (which has a width reduced gradually in the direction from the inside periphery side toward the outside periphery side) and two split buoyancy members 7b by two tangent lines 71 which are extended from the vicinity of a midpoint of the outside peripheral wall to the inside peripheral wall of the member 7. The fastener 6 is opened, then the split buoyancy members 7a are placed in the interior of the covering cloth 1, and the wedge-shaped buoyancy member 7a is fitted into the wedge-shaped space formed inside the cloth 1. Thereafter, the fastener 6 is closed and an overlapped part 3a is fixed, thereby producing the ring life buoy.</p> |
