PURPOSE:To correct errors in data to improve the quality of the communication line and improve the communication efficiency of data, by subjecting received data to a specific operation to detect errors in the transmission. CONSTITUTION:In data transmission and receiving through communication lines between plural data transmission and receiving devices, an error correcting device is provided between respective transmitting and receiving devices and communication lines to constitute a high-level data link controlling system. The data format consists of start and end flags F, an address field A, a command field C, content data, and a frame check sequence field FCS. Flags F of data from the transmitting and receiving device are detected by a flag detecting part, and fields C-FCS flags F are transmitted to a correction code adding part and are subjected to operations in the adding part to generat an error correction code, and this correction code is added to data in a flag adding part. This data with the correction code added is operated in the receiving-side error detecting and correcting part, and thus, the error is corrected to receive data. |
