Two sets of star-shaped plates secure the rotor blade mountings, with a central hole to fit over the shaft. Pegs between the plates provide the mounting pivots, and two sets of loops (72) of tensile material are set over the respective pairs of pegs and around the shaft, with the loops offset vertically. The loops provide the tensile strength of the rotor head without a complex and heavy construction. The loops are embedded in packing material so that an effective spacing is obtained between the mounting plates.
