PURPOSE:To obtain a positively chargeable toner superior in fluidity, resistant to deterioraion, and stable in performance in a wide humidity range, by allowing a beta-diketone complex to be adsorbed or attaching it to the surface of a developing powder (toner) containing an ethylenical olefin polymer. CONSTITUTION:A complex of the ion of a metal, such as Al, Ni, Mn, Cu, or Mg, and a beta-diketone, such as acetyl acetone, represented by formula in which R1, R2 are each alkyl or aryl, or a derivative of them, and M<n> is an n-valent metal, is adsorbed or attached to the surface of a toner containing polyethylene or an ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer by >=50wt% of the total weight of a binder resin. An amount of the complex added is 0.01-10wt% of the toner. Alternatively, the complex is adsorbed or attached by dispersing the toner into the methanol solution of the complex, and evaporating the methanol, or doing the like, thus permitting a good image to be obtained under high humidity, and a plurality of copies to be formed without fog. |
