PURPOSE:To obtain a sum signal having low side lobe characteristics by synthesizing a differential signal through the location of a horn antenna around the element antennas synthesizing sum signals and to simplify the power feeding system through the improvement of radiation pattern of the differential signal. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 1 consists of element antennas 2a and horn antennas 2b-2e are located around it. The antenna consists of a phase shifter 3a, power feeding system 4a, transmitter and receiver 5, phase shifter driving device 6a, beam steering computer 7 and dummy load 8. When a scanning angle of transmission beam is give, a specified phase shifter 3b is driven to synthesize the signal from the element antenna and to obtain the radiation pattern of sum signals having the low side lobe characteristics, and the differential signal radiation pattern for tracking is obtained with four horn antennas to simplify the power feeding system. |
