The stocking or sock has a reinforced toe which is nevertheless sightly, so that it can be worn with open-toed shoes. The reinforcement has an edging line which curves forwards towards the toe. This reinforcement is both on the top and underneath sides of the stocking. The curved design of the reinforcement, as against the usual straight line is less noticeable and more attractive in appearance.
