PURPOSE:To increase the resolution of short distance with narrow radar transmission pulse width, by delaying a signal detecting a failure of an exciting power level to the next transmission period. CONSTITUTION:A part of high frequency signal produced at an exciting power generating section 1 is picked up at a directional coupler 5 and compared with a normal level at a level comparator 6. A pulse signal is transmitted from the comparator 6 only when the said high frequency signal level is a prescribed value or more, and this pulse signal is applied as an inhibition release signal to an AND circuit 7 via a delay circuit 9 delayed to the next transmission period. On the other hand, a transmission pretrigger signal is applied to this AND circuit and it is applied to high voltage pulse modulator 4 via a trigger amplifier 8 only when the said inhibition release signal is applied (at normal state). Thus, a radar pulse with narrow width can be obtained from an amplification type transmission tube (CFA)2. |
