PURPOSE:To prevent a recording material from being affected by a constitution of an apparatus using the recording material, by providing a conductor layer having discontinuous parts different is resistance values, and a recording layer on an insulating base. CONSTITUTION:A conductor layer 2 having discontinuous parts formed by dividing the layer 2 into each recording unit in the auxiliary scanning direction and rendering each unit different in resistance from one another, and a recording layer 1 are formed on an insulating base 3, thus permitting drop of the resistance of the layer 2 between an auxiliary electrode and an arc, varied by the length of the recording material to be prevented, the recording material having conductor layers with various resistances adapted for the constitution of the apparatus to be unnecessary, and electrostatic recording of a facsimile, a printer, or the like to be excuted advantageously. |
