PURPOSE:To suitably set the read-in timing and to suitably read in the video information for one page when a hole diameter of an original is permissible, by providing the 1st and 2nd counters consisting of timers with an original front and rear end detecting circuit of a video input device. CONSTITUTION:A detecting section 29 detecting the carriage of an original and a photoelectric onversion section consisting of a roller driving section 30 carrying the original and a current/voltage conversion circuit 21 detecting the reflected light of a surface to be scanned and converting into video element information, are provided at a video input device. A voltage signal FV photoelectrically converted at the circuit 21 and a signal detecting the carriage of the original at the section 29 are applied to an original front and rear end detection circuit 23. The circuit 23 is provided with the 1st count section which counts the time corresponding to the detecting section 29 and the carrying time of the surface to be scanned and outputs a count end signal, and the 2nd count section which outputs the count end signal through the count time corresponding to the permissible hole diameter of the original. If the signal of the 2nd count section is not outputted, the output of the 1st count section is inhibited and the video information is suitably read in. |
