The double-glazed window frame is secured into the surrounding framework using elongate elements (10,11) each of which possesses a curved tongue (14) projecting from its lower face for location into a cavity (16) provided towards the front of the framework (1,2). Corner-pieces (12) are between the neighbouring ends of two adjacent elements and comprise a base (24) secured to the frame work by a screw (30) and two thin wings (25,26). The inner surfaces of the latter present a complementary shape to and overlap the outer surfaces of the ends of the elongate elements.
