In a method for digital information transmission and/or recording and reproduction, in which the data are converted in segments into digital signals, the word length of which is dependent on the information density of the data segments, there is the problem of redetecting the data segments in the event of faults. <??>The invention improves the method against susceptibility to faults, in that the digital signals obtained in segments are first allocated to blocks of a constant word length, subsequently the blocks, the data segments of which have a smaller word length than that predetermined by the blocks, are filled with portions of data segments of a word length greater than that predetermined by the blocks, and finally the data segments are recomposed in their original word length from the blocks.
|
