<p>The feeder cable of an electrical appliance is wound around a drum (3), the hollow hub (3.1) of which is supported by a support rod (2) mounted on a base plate (1) and provided with two smooth bearings (4, 5) of different diameters. Two brush-plates composed of collector rings (10) and of elastic wipers (13) are disposed between the two bearings. The collector rings (10) are attached to the rod (2) and the elastic wipers are linked to a brush-holder (12) which can be introduced into a recess (3.12) in the hub (3.1). The opening of the hub (3.1) facing the base plate (1) comprises a shoulder (3.11) and the base plate (1) is provided with hooks (1.2) engaging the shoulder (3.11) of the hub to avoid the axial disengagement of the drum (3) from its support rod (2). The brush-holder (12) can be introduced radially into the recess (3.12) in the hub and is retained in that position by means of a latching. The elastic wipers (13) are arranged so that the contact forces only act upon the brush-plate and not upon the smooth bearings (4, 5). To this purpose, the elastic wipers (21) are U-shaped, with their branches (21.1, 21.2) contacting cylindrical surfaces which are diametrically opposed to the collector rings (10). The elastic wipers (10) also have the shape of comb, the teeth of which contact both cylindrical surfaces.</p> |
