<p>The invention concerns a device for near and distant tracking of people through a cellular radio communication system comprising a specific number of portable electronic objects, each object comprising a device for transmitting/receiving long range radio-frequency waves (1) provided with display means and communication means for communicating with the network base stations and enable their being tracked in the network through a monitoring station. The transmitter/receiver device (1) is programmed to listen to signals coming from other transmitter/receiver devices of other portable objects, and to display on the display means data concerning the portable objects and signals received from each of them enabling their location. The invention is useful for tracking people in distress.</p> |
