PURPOSE:To obtain wide-band and low-loss conversion characteristics, by forming pattern with the terminal opened of the 1/2 wavelength at the tip of a strip conductor of the microstrip line, which should be inserted to a rectangular waveguide, to shape the tip into a T form. CONSTITUTION:A slit 3 is provided in the advance direction of radio waves in the center position of the H plane of a rectangular waveguide 1, and a strip conductor 5 of a microstrip line 7 consisting of a surface strip conductor 5 and a reverse conductor 6 of a dielectric substrate 4 is inseted the 1/4 wavelength of a desired signal apart from a short-circuiting face 2. A T-form strip conductor 9 with the terminal opened which is orthogonal to the strip conductor 5 and extends from the center of the strip conductor 5 to both sides for a length of the 1/4 wavelength of the desired signal compressed by the dielectric substrate 4 is formed at the tip of the strip conductor, and the electromagnetic field in the microstrip mode spreads along the part between the T-form strip conductor 9 and the H face of the rectangular waveguide, thus performing conversion smoothly. |
