PURPOSE:To stabilize starting by feeding fuel, taking a detector around an accumulator on engein starting, in the fuel injection apparatus equipped wit the accumulator which damps pressure pulsation in the fuel system. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection apparatus consists of an injector 1, fuel feeding source 3, controller 5, and a tank 7. The injector 1 consists of the spool valve 13 controlled by three solenoid valves 15, 17, and 19, the plunger 11 which is moved up and down by the valve 13, and the nozzle 9 of which opening is controlled by the plunger 11. The feeding source 3 consists of a fuel pump 31, spool type control valve 37, cnventional accumulator 33 having a large capacity, and the accumulator 35 having small capacity, and both accumulators 33 and 35 are installed in parallel. The control valve 37 is switched over on starting, and the fuel from the pump 31 is supplied into the injector 1 through the accumulator 35 having a small capacity. |
