Elastic push-button switch cap

The invention relates to an improved push-button switch cap which is produced integrally from a rubber-like material and by means of which a key stroke can be implemented which is greatly increased in comparison with known push-button switches, before a snapping process occurs in the switch cap, to be precise whenever the central region of the switch cap is pressed, in order to close the contacts. The switch cap consists of a) a central pressure region, b) a first annular region which is connected at its upper end to the central pressure region and may have the form of a truncated cone (frustrum) or of a pocket with the opening pointing downwards, c) a second annular region which surrounds the first annular region and is connected thereto, and d) a flat base ring which is connected to the second annular region and by means of which the switch cap is arranged on the base plate of the switch. The ratio of the dimensions of the first and second annular regions is selected such that the first annular region does not bend before the second annular region has deformed or bent essentially around the connecting line between the second annular region and the flat base ring.
