The goods- or passenger vehicle comprises a chassis and a cabin for the useful load mounted on the chassis via a hydraulically operated scissors-hoist. A single hydraulic jack, near the scissors' moving end, powers the hoist. This jack is synchronous telescopic, double acting with an opening (20) connecting the annular space (19) between outer cylinder (11) and lower-piston rod (10) to the inner cylinder (21). Oil filling these spaces (19,21) is transferred between them by movement of the lower piston (17), due to fluid injection into/release from the outer cylinder bottom chamber (18).
