<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the capacity of separation of the original, by composing the suction head of a paper feeder of suction hole members for sucking the original, elastic plates for elastically supporting the suction hole members between a horizontal and an inclined positions and lugs. CONSTITUTION:A suction head 7 moves up under the front opening 6 of an original rest 1 and comes into contact with the bottom of the originals to suck it. After that, the suction head 7 moves forth to deliver the originals in between conveying rollers 4, 5. The suction head 7 has a body 8 comprising a groove 9 for avoiding interference with a separating claw 3 and protruded parts 10, 11 located on both sides of the groove 9 and having inclined surfaces 10a, 11a. Bellows 14, 15, which are connected to a suction pipe 21, are provided in recesses 10b, 11b provided on the inclined surfaces 10a, 11a. The upper ends of the bellows 14, 15 are attached to the free ends of leaf springs 22, 23 whose butts are secured on the protruded parts 10, 11. Lugs 26, 27 are mounted on the tops of the leaf springs 22, 23.</p> |
