<p>A method for producing 3-hydroxy-6-phenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,5-benzodiazocines corresponding to the formula: and pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof, wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R1 represents a phenyl group, a 2-halo-phenyl group or a 2-trifluoromethyl-phenyl group, and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group or a trifluoromethyl group. In such method 2-aminobenzophenones corresponding to the formula: wherein R, R1 and R2 have the meanings given above, or addition salts thereof, are cyclized at an elevated temperature in the presence of an inert organic solvent.</p> |
