PURPOSE:To achieve full color recording having good color reproduction performance, by providing a color material layer containing methine coloring matter onto a base film. CONSTITUTION:A color material layer containing methine coloring matter shown by Formula (Where, X represents a hydrogen atom, a low class alkyl group or a low class alkoxyl group, R represents an alkyl group, alkoxyalkyl group or an aralkyl group, A represents an alkyl group, an alkoxyl group or a benzene ring which may be substituted with a halogen atom.) is provided on a base film. In order to provide the color material layer, coloring matter is dissolved together with binder into a medium or dispersed in the shape of micro particles into the medium to prepare ink which is applied onto the base film, then the base film is dried. Ink is applied by means of a reverse coater, for example, and preferably the thickness of ink layer, i.e. the color material layer, is in the range of 0.1-5mum. |
