PURPOSE:To produce the titled steel sheet with little ribbing by a simplified process, by a method wherein a ferritic stainless steel slab containing a predetermined amount of solAl is not rolled and then it is subjected to a single run of cold rolling to a thickness corresponding to a predetermined draft percentage or below without subjecting it to hot-rolled strip annealing. CONSTITUTION:A ferritic stainless steel slab containing 0.08-0.5% of solAl is hot rolld by an ordinary method. The slab thus hot rolled is then cold rolled to a final thickness with the reduction ratio specified to be not higher than 75%, without conducting a hot-rolled strip annealing operation. The resultant cold-rolled sheet is then subjected to recrystallization annealing to produce the objective ferritic stainless steel sheet with little ribbing. |
