Injection mould with floating stripper ring - located between the parts of two=part locking ring

An injection moulding device comprises a female mould part (15) cooperating with a male mould part (20). Around the base of the male mould part is a stripper ring (122). The ring is loosely embraced between the two members (125A,125B) of a locking ring. One of the locking ring members (125A) has an inner surface engaging and correctly locating the outside of the female mould part whilst the other (125B) has an inner surface cooperating with and correctly locating the outer surface of the male mould part. No screws are necessary for retaining the stripper ring in position and machining either the stripper ring or cooperating surfaces on the halves of the locking ring can easily accommodate for a too-thick stripper ring.
