<p>Springs or vanes or the like consisting of an alloy having form restorability are attached to the rotor of a rotary body. The repeated application of high and low temperatures vertically on the apparatus causes deformation of the form restorable alloy in response to which the center of gravity of the rotor is displaced with respect to a rotary shaft. The rotary body is actuated in accordance with the resulting moment of rotation. Employed as the heating medium is a comparatively low-temperature fluid such as warm water effluent, warm exhaust air or water which can be obtained from a solar water heater or the like. The apparatus of the invention recovers the low level of energy and produces energy by conve rting it into mechanical energy.</p> |
