The compressor (1) of the hot-air turbine group is connected on the output side to the hot-air turbine (14), via the secondary side of a recuperator (4) and a heat exchanger (9) located in the region of very high heat transfer of a vortex layer furnace (24). The air which is expanded in the hot-air turbine (14) is fed via the primary side of the recuperator (4) as combustion air to the vortex layer furnace. By cooling down the air fed to the vortex layer furnace in the recuperator before it is blown into the furnace, part of the heat exchanging process in the region of the furnace can be omitted. The particularly highly stressed heating surfaces, which are subjected directly to the furnace and thus consist of expensive material, can consequently be reduced in size. Moreover, because of the smaller heating surfaces, the pressure drop in the vortex bed is reduced. <IMAGE> |
