<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a seizure of a turbine shaft by driving a valve through a linking device by the contraction movement of a form memory alloy coil, and opening a bypass hole detouring a turbine, to restrict the rotation of the turbine impeller, when the cooling water is at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION:When a supercharged air is added to a diafragm chamber 15 of an actuator 14, and a diafragm 16 is depressed against a spring 18, a link 10 is slided through a rod 12, a valve 8 is opened through a valve stay 9 unitary with the link 10, and a bypass hole 7 is opened. Since a form memory alloy coil 24 is at the contracted condition when the engine cooling water is at a low temperature, a link plate 19 is pulled and the pawl 20 at the other end of the link plate 19 pushes out the link 10. As a result, the valve stay 9 is slided at the same time, and the bypass hole 7 is opened by the opening of the valve 8. Therefore, the rotation of the turbine 4 of the supercharger is suppressed at a low speed, and the seizure of the turbine shaft 29 can be prevented.</p> |
