The invention describes a process for manufacturing shaped articles (5 min ) wherein one part (7) is of solid elastomeric material and the other part (9) is made of an elastomeric material foam covered with an outer skin (10). In producing the shaped article in question the expanding of the part (9) that is made of foam material takes place during the vulcanization of the shaped article, and the outer skin that forms around the material that has to be foamed, guides the foaming of the latter. The invention also describes the shaped article that is obtained through this process.
