PURPOSE:To shorten the dedication time of a channel by transferring variable data after transferring fixed data by dividing the buffer memory of a rinter, stored with data transferred from a center controller, into a fixed and variable data area. CONSTITUTION:Under a page image setting command from a channel, a controller BCONT sets counter CONTs 1 and 2 to ''0''s and sends a request for data transfer to a channel interface controller CCT. Data is sent to a character discriminating circuit CJ, which descriminates between data for a fixed and variable data area; and it is written in a buffer BF11 while its CB11 is set to a ''1'' for the fixed area or to a ''0'' for the variable area, and the CONT1 goes up by one. For the 2nd time or later, only variable data is transferred and stored in the buffer BF11 by setting the bit CB11 to the ''0''. If a printing indication is generated while a print controller PCT is in process of reading the buffer BF11, the data is written in a buffer BF22. |
