PURPOSE:To provide a touch roll system sheet molding machine capable of molding a thin sheet with ease at high speed, by constituting the outer layer of the touch roll from a rubber blended with a fluoroplastic, and the inner layer thereof from a metal roll. CONSTITUTION:In the touch roll system sheet molder wherein the melted resin sheet 3 that has been extruded from a die 2 by an extruder 1 is pressed between the touch roll 10 and a cooling roll 4 to be delivered in a direction shown by an arrow B, the outer layer 11 of the touch roll 10 is made of a layer of a rubber blended with a fluoroplastic (for example: a rubber blended with a polytetrafluoroethylene or the like), and the inner layer 12 is comprised of a metal roll. Thus, if uneven thickness has occured to the melted resin sheet 3, the elastic and deformable rubber layer 11 can follow the unevenness so that the sheet 3 is in close contact with the rubber layer 11 and the roll 4 throughout the whole width thereof so as to prevent inclusion of air and uneven touch, and therefore a very thin item can be molded at high speed. |
