PURPOSE:To sorten the time required for adjusting operation by cutting the oscillator of a detector intermittently and by detecting the frequency of free oscillations of the oscillator while a cutter is separated from the oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A sub-assembler 2 is fixed on a fixed table and while a resonance frequency is measured by a frequency measuring instrument 15, the diaphragm composed of a piezoelectric body 28 and a mtallic body 29 is cut with a rotary grindstone 16. This grindstone 16 has a projection part 16a at some part of its circumfrenece, and the projection part 16a cuts the diaphragm intermittently. When this projection part 16a is separated from the diaphragm 26, the waveform of free oscillation is a sine wave and the frequency corresponds to the resonance frequency of the diaphragm. Therefore, the frequency of the free oscillations is read by a measuring instrument 15 from the output of the sub-assembler 2 to find the resonance frequency of the diaphragm. Thus, while cutting operation for adjusting the resonance frequency is performed, the frequency of the free oscillation is measured to facilitate adjusting operation,thereby shortening the time required for the adjusting operation. |
