<p>Pesticidal compns. (I) contain 0.5-5% w/w of vegetable or animal wax, e.g. cernuba, candelilla, flax, bees, cotton or sunflower wax together with a suitable solvent e.g. a ketone, terpene, aromatic hydrocarbon, hydroaromatic hydrocarbon, or alcohol, and opt. tog. with lipophilic and hydrophilic emulsifiers. (I) can be used at 0.5-20 l/hr. and sprayed e.g. from the air, or diluted-with H2O, giving a 0.1-20% v/v emulsion used at up to 1000 l/hr. The addition of wax. reduces phytotoxic effects.</p> |
