PURPOSE:To enable generation of ink particles uniform over a broad frequency range, by applying two electric signals to the electric-mechanical transducer of a nozzle head to suppress variation in a threshold voltage due to frequency. CONSTITUTION:An electric-mechanical transducer 11 is adhesively fixed to an upper cover 10 on the ink chamber 3 of an ink head 1. An ink pressure inside the ink chamber 3 is raised by applying an electric signal to the electric-mechanical transducer 11 from an information signal source 13, to spray ink particles 14 through an orifice 4. When the electric signal disappears after the injection, the interior of the ink chamber 3 becomes at a negative pressure and a reflection wave is generated. the second electric signal is applied in timely response to the reflection wave- generating period, so as to maintain pressure variation inside the ink chamber 3 under a normal condition. Thus, variation in a threshold voltaged caused by frequency variation can be suppressed, and recording with high frequency can be performed. |
