Blood sampler has a double ended hollow needle at one end of a hollow handle. A sealed blood tube at the far end can be pushed in for piercing by the needle etc. The tube is closed by a screw cap whose opening is closed by a sealing membrane clamped to this at the rim for piercing by a needle, through a hole in the membrane. The cap has clips to hold the membrane and the needle is eccentric to the holder with the membrane hole leaving a shoulder as seal between tube and cap. The holder pref. has a second membrane piercing needle coupled by a line to a suction hand bulb at right angles to the holder. The tube is not evacuated when capped but only by the second needle when this is connected to suction. Evacuating is switch controlled and the line between bulb and needle contains a valve to break and re-make the link to the tube when the bulb is pressed and released, resp. |
