摘要 Fish skeletons with adherent flesh or fish pass from hopper 1 to belt 2 where they are pressed against co-rotating perforated drum 3. The separated flesh is accumulated in tank 5 with from 3 to 10, preferably 4 to 5 times its weight of water and selectively passed to agitation tanks 9, 12, 12' for agitation with water at ambient temperature at 10-30 r.p.m. for 2-15, preferably 3-10 minutes to remove scale, blood vessels, skin and like contaminants without breaking up the flesh particles unacceptably. The resulting slurry is centrifuged at 18, discharged at 21 to give a fish product of acceptable content and appearance which is moulded in mould 24. The product is useful as animal or human food. <IMAGE>
