PURPOSE:To ensure an accurate detection for the position of a character touched with a light pen with the accuracy of each character, by giving a compensating process to an address detected by the light pen. CONSTITUTION:An electric signal 12 converted from an optical signal received by a light pen 3 is supplied to an address register 9. An address signal (f) supplied from a memory address counter 8 is held in the form of a light pen detection address signal (h). Then the memory contents before and after an address on the memory 8 are once shunted 6 to clear the data. The original data is shifted one by one to the areas, within a memory 5 where to picture data exists. Under such conditions, whether or not the pen 3 detects the light is checked. Then the address when receiving the light is defined as a compensated address that shows the position indicated by the pen 3. As a result, the position of characters can be detected accurately for each character. |
