PURPOSE:To improve the solvent resistance of a binder, facilitate the selection of insulation-characteristic adjacent to a photoconductive layer and improve the adhesive strength, electrical characteristics and mechanical strength of a phenoxy resin by using blocked isocyanate as the binder. CONSTITUTION:In an electrophotographic receptor consisting basically of a substrate, a photoconductive layer on the substrate and an insulation layer on the photoconductive layer, wherein the photoconductive layer in particular consists of a photoconductive material and a binder, a blocked isocyanate-phenoxy resin is used for this binder. Those of 50,000-80,000mol.wt. are used for the phenoxy resin, and those prepd. by masking an isocyanate prepolymer with an aromatic secondary amine, tertiary alcohol, amide, lactam, phenol, oxime, etc. are used for the blocked isocyanate. When the blocked isocyanate is heated, its NCO groups are regenerated and these react with the hydroxyl groups of the phenoxy resin. |
