<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of a tuyere due to melting and the amount of gaseous hydrocarbon used to cool the tuyere by mixing gaseous hydrocarbon for cooling the tuyrer with a specified vol. percentage of gaseous hydrogen. CONSTITUTION:When a tuyere for blowing oxygen is cooled, 5-40vol% gaseous H2 is added to conventional gaseous hydrocarbon for cooling the tuyere such as gaseous propane or natural gas. Thus, the heat conductivity of the cooling gas is increased, so the amount of the used cooling gas and the loss of the tuyere due to melting can be reduced.</p> |
