A clothes horse comprises a vertical rectangular, tubular frame on either side of which are pivotally attached a series of horizontal rectangular grilles which may be folded down against the main frame. Each grille has a U-shaped frame, the ends of which are bent over to engage holes in the main frame, thus forming the hinges which allow the grille to be folded. The bends in each end of the grille frame comprise four right-angled bends in three dimensions, so arranged that the grille is self-supporting in its horizontal position, but capable of a slight lateral movement which is sufficient to disengage the supporting arms of the bends from the upright frame member, thereby allowing the grille to be folded. This construction eliminates the need for hooks or latches to hold the grilles in either the open or closed positions.
|
