Surgical and dental instruments sterilisation - in autoclave using deep freeze, heating and cooling stages

Surgical or dental instruments are sterilised or disinfected in an autoclave where their surfaces are exposed to a directional flow of a medium. An intensive ultraviolet radiation is maintained throughout. In the first stage, a deep freeze medium (-30 deg.C) is applied and in the second stage a flow of hot water (95. deg.C), or steam (135 deg.C) or hot oil (140 deg.C). The third stage uses a cooling medium (0 deg.C). This shortens the time required for the sterilisation and causes no damage to the instruments. The risk of infection for the personnel is much reduced.
