Viewing screen for a microscope, which can be mounted on the tube instead of the eyepiece and which contains a mirror arrangement which reflects the image of the objective produced in the optical system by an appropriately intense light source for the objective either onto a removable projection plate mounted on the screen or outwards via a projection mirror which can be pivoted on the screen. <IMAGE>
