A method of obtaining the nitrogen and the oxygen from the preliminarily compressed and cooled air consists in compressing the air up to a pressure comprised between 0.3 and 0.6 MPa, in cooling the compressed air up to the saturation condition with a partial liquefaction at the temperature of 90 to 100 K. The cooled air with a partial content of the liquid is fed for separation into at least one vortex tube. An installation for implementing of the method comprises a compressor (1), heat exchangers (2) located along the passage of the compressed air and having a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber, and further comprises the vortex tube (4), provided on one of its ends with an inlet nozzle (5) and a diaphragme (6) for letting out the nitrogen, and on the other end with a diffusor for letting out the oxygen. The inlet nozzle (5) of the vortex tube (4) is connected to the high-pressure chamber of the heat exchanger (2), whereas the diaphragme (6) of the vortex tube (4) is connected to the low-pressure chamber of the heat exchanger (2). |
