PURPOSE:To diminish respective frame body layers forming a lens barrel and to reduce the size and weight of the lens barrel by assembling a 1st moving frame and 2nd moving frame or stationary frame and the 2nd moving frame as one-layer structure in such a manner that the plural frame bodies are constituted as one layer in the innermost frame. CONSTITUTION:This zoom lens barrel is superposedly mounted with the stationary frame 11, a cam frame 12 provided freely turnably with the frame 11, and the plural moving frames 13, 14 interlocked to the cam frame 12 to constitute plural layers of the frame body and is optically varied in power when the lens position is changed by the movement of the moving frames 13, 14. The frame body 13 constituting the innermost layer consists of the frame body 14 on one side which has notched holes 13a, 13b of a prescribed interval extending along the optical axis direction and is provided with a bridge part to be passed with the notched holes on the inside and the frame body 13 on the other side which has a sliding contact part overhanging in the optical axis direction from the arc-shaped diametrally expanding part of the circumference and fits the sliding contact part freely movably in the notched holes of the frame body 14 of one side. Furthermore, the frame body of the innermost layer is constituted of at least >=2 frame bodies in single layer. The number of the layers of the respective frame bodies to the superposedly mounted is thereby decreased and the size and weight of the lens barrel form and reduced.
