PURPOSE:To obtain desired film strength and spectral reflectivity in a short time without requiring a high-temperature heat treatment by adhering a metallic layer to a base body and by further adhering an optical layer, including a high-refractivity layer made of preseodymium oxide, to the metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:On the mirror finished surface of a base body 1, metal, such as Al, is vacuum-deposited to form a metallic layer 2. On the metallic layer 2, an optical layer 3 consisting of the 1st optical layer 3a made of a low-refractivity material and the 2nd optical layer 3b made of praseodymium oxide as a high-refractivity material is stuck. In this case, the layers 3a and 3b are formed without the need for a heat treatment. The layer may use SiO2, MgF2, etc., as the low refractivity material, and Al2O3, CeF3, etc., as an intermediate-refractivity material. In addition, the optical thicknesses of the layers 3a and 3b are selected properly to increase the reflectivity of this reflecting mirror device. |
