摘要 PURPOSE:To synchronize the number of rotation of a printing cylinder with that of a cooling roller and to adjust the tension of a web suitably by a method wherein a differential gear is provided in a mechanism to transmit the power of a main driving shaft to a cooling roller and the differential gear is controlled by the number of rotation of the main driving shaft. CONSTITUTION:When the web 12 printed by a printing unit 10 is dried by a drier 14, passed through a cooler 16 and supplied to a folding machine 18 and a sheeter 19, an abnormal tension acts on the web by means of sudden change of drying temperature to cooling temperature to cause deterioration of printing quality. Thereby, a differential gear is provided in a mechanism through which the power of the transmission shaft 20 of the printing press is transmitted to to cooling rollers 24, 26, an output voltage obtained from a reference tachogenerator 36 set on the main driving shaft I is transmitted to the output tachogenerator 56 of a DC motor 54, the output is fed back to a DC motor controller 78 and the number of rotation of the main driving shaft I and that of the DC motor 54 are synchronized.
